Mainstream stores like Macy's are carrying more sustainable makeup brands like PYT
I’ve been researching sustainable beauty brands available at mainstream department stores. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect people to change their skincare and beauty routines and fashion habits overnight because we have a Western overconsumption problem.
So, what I think is a GREAT idea is making better environmental choices EASY for people based on their current routines and habits. This creates an avenue for massive positive environmental change without asking society to completely abandon the current way of living.
More to the point - I love the Earth and I still wear makeup!
What's a better choice than typical drugstore brands?
I want to introduce clean beauty brand PYT.
PYT is committed to sustainability in its manufacturing, product contents, and packaging. Here is a quote from their website about what they do not include in their products:

Also, PYT is making efforts to reduce the use of plastics in their products. They don’t have a perfect solution, but as of Earth Day 2021, the brand is using recycled plastic, sugarcane based plastic, and pre-degraded plastic.
PYT was started by friends Amy Carr and Mary Schulman, who are both dedicated to high-quality, natural, environmentally friendly products.
This is exactly the kind of brand I want to make visible with Product Love!
